    Movement — Powermatic 80 / C07.111

    The important feature is the Powermatic 80 automatic movement. The C07.111 is an ETA-based movement with a 23-jewel construction, 3 Hz frequency and approximately 80 hours of power reserve. That means you can take the watch off Friday evening and, assuming it was sufficiently wound, it can still be running Monday morning.

    It is not a chronometer/COSC version of the Powermatic 80.

    Case and dial

    This particular reference is distinctive because of its gold-tone PVD case combined with an ivory dial and brown leather strap. The case itself is stainless steel; it is not solid gold. The gold appearance comes from the PVD coating.

    The 39.3 mm diameter is fairly versatile for a dress watch. At only 9.75 mm thick, it should sit relatively neatly under a shirt cuff. The 19 mm lug width is worth remembering if you're considering replacement straps.

    The dial uses Roman numerals, gold-tone hands and a date window at approximately 3 o'clock. The exhibition back allows the automatic movement to be seen.

    Water resistance

    The rating is 30 m / 3 ATM. This is a dress-watch water-resistance rating, not a swimming rating.
